Erasmus Mundus program granted!
The EU granted the Erasmus Mundus application ‘MOVE-AGE: European doctorate program on prevention of mobility loss with ageing’. In the MOVE-AGE program 50 PhD students will study how mobility can be maintained during ageing. Three institutes are involved: MOVE (coordinating institute), the Institute for Biomedical Research into Human Movement and Health (IRM) of Metropolitan University Manchester and the Doctoral School Programme Exercise and Physical Activity in Health and Disease of the Biomedical Science Group of Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. Each PhD student will be supervised by researchers from at least two of the three participating institutes. The program is written by Jaap van Dieën (MOVE), Sabine Verschueren (KU Leuven) and Bill Baltzopoulos (IRM).
